Circular Resolutions

2026/Res17 Active contributor membership application #2026011310000086 - reapplication

The Board currently decides on active contributor membership applications based on non-mapping contributions on a case-by-case basis.

Approved on 2026-09-26 with 6 votes in favour: Brazil Singh, Daniela Waltersdorfer, Héctor Ochoa Ortiz, Laura Mugeha, Roland Olbricht, Maurizio Napolitano.

  • 1 did not vote: Craig Allan.
Application initially processed by the Membership Working Group.

2026/Res18 Grant Slater's salary increase

As Grant's manager, I want to propose a salary increase. His current annual rate is £---------- Inflation rose in the UK by 3.1% this past year (https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationandpriceindices). He has met his goals for this year, including being more social and open on various communication channels and presenting on the work he and the OWG does. For that reason, I want to propose the Board approves a salary increase of 7%, which takes into account the inflation rate.

This would move his current hourly rate of £------ to £------, as such a total annual salary of £---------------.

If you disagree, please specify what amount you feel would be most appropriate.

Unanimously approved on 2026-09-26 with 7 votes in favour: Brazil Singh, Daniela Waltersdorfer, Héctor Ochoa Ortiz, Laura Mugeha, Roland Olbricht, Craig Allan (No comment. HR issues should not have public comments), Maurizio Napolitano (I am in favor only if we are certain of covering the costs).

Circular by Dani Waltersdorfer.

Notes:

  • Grant Slater: Senior Site Reliability Engineer.
  • The numbers were circulated to the board.
  • The circular was created on 2026-09-23, after 2026/Res17, and was set-up to close earlier than the typical seven days duration.
