Annual General Meetings/2026/Personnel committee's report

From OpenStreetMap Foundation

The Personnel Committee (PC) of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) makes sure that the OSMF's paid resources are managed in a way that is clear, transparent, and consistent. We closely monitor contractors, support supervisors in their roles, and coordinate recruitment and hiring processes.

The PC is currently composed of

  • Adam Hoyle
  • Craig Allan
  • Daniela Waltersdorfer Jiménez
  • Héctor Ochoa Ortiz, PC Chair
  • Maurizio Napolitano
  • Mikel Maron
  • Sarah Hoffmann

Through last year, we revived the cadency of regular meetings. We improved our internal documentation of contract deadlines, contact points and meeting minutes. As well, we made sure to understand and try to solve issues that arise within our staff, whether personal, or work-related. Finally, we coordinated on planning for the future and continuity of our staff, beyond the current year.

Looking ahead, we are currently on the process of preparing the hiring process for a second paid systems operator, and we hope to share the job description and application period publicly soon. Finally, we thank all our donors, individual and corporate, and grant providers who make it possible to financially support our staff and operations.
