Sponsorship support and distribution for local SotM/Requests

The OpenStreetMap Foundation will work with local State of the Map event organisers to accept and pass on sponsorship funds.

Concise timeline for SotM Europe 2024 request 2024-07-22 OSM Poland sends a filled and signed sponsorship distribution agreement for SotM Europe 2024 2024-07-19 OSM Poland asks OSMF to get a loan, as they have to pay the venue in one week after the conference ends and they were counting on the Microsoft sponsorship having reached them by then (via OSMF). The OSMF board approved (with 4 votes at that point) to distribute the Microsoft funds to OSM Poland and the loan. 2024-07-09 It became clear that the Microsoft agreement requested to be signed is related to Microsoft sponsoring SotM EU 2024 in Poland, organised by OSM Poland.
