Actual business

Vector Tiles

Paul summarizes the current status of vector tile work. The pull request that triggers the availability is ready. It just needs to be rebased to be merged. It also is waiting for coordination with the Communications Working Group.

This relase is has two layers, and Paul's work now is Shortbread styled with the Versatiles scheme.

Paul suggests that a second stage could be work on the Street Spirit style: a general purpose map style, compatible with the requirements for a style on osm.org. Color choices similar to those of osm-carto may increase the chance of acceptance.

StreetSpirit is both a vector tile scheme and a stylesheet for it, coordinated. Interactivity is in the scope of it.

Microgrants

The Engineering Working Group gets informed that the official announcement has not become online yet.

The Engineering Working Group accepts the following motion: Extend the deadline for Microgrant applications until 2025-07-31 because the official announcement has not become online yet.

GDPR

Minh was present at last month's LWG meeting. The Terms of Use have been discussed. The openstreetmap-website need a way to provide notice to older users about the Terms of Use. The addition of a setting for accepting Terms of Use to openstreetmap-website is currently under review. This would be a stepping stone for future work on even more excellent GDPR compliance in that regard.

Floss Fund

Hector volunteers to move this forward.

Next Projects to Commission / Projects Pipeline

Minh is close to sharing the roadmap that is being worked on. The discussion is paused until this roadmap is available.
