We have engineering@osmfoundation.org list installed, Peter and Tobias are receiving messages. Ilya is not. Need to talk to Paul about that.

Google Summer of Code

Next week is the first evaluation week. Students are doing well, but should write more blog posts: only one or two students are doing it. We don't know how the libosmscout project is doing, it may fail.

Top Ten Tasks

Decided to have a backup, "runners-up" list of smaller ideas. Also had a discussion about keeping the old list, instead of replacing it completely. Because otherwise it would feel bad to the old EWG. Ilya thinks that respecting their work means continuing it, not keeping the old stuff around.

Went over the short list for TTT, 20 ideas. 4 were pre-approved by majority voting, one was pre-rejected. 9 more were rejected in discussion. One was too vague, and two others can be merged. That leaves us with 8 tasks, plus 2 from the old list. Members present were happy with the outcome.

Now Ilya would make a draft TTT page, which we will discuss and then publish and announce.

Action Items

  • Paul to add Ilya to the EWG mailing list.
  • Ilya to compile a draft Top Ten Tasks wiki page.
  • Ilya to send a doodle poll for the next meeting.

Next Meeting
