Formal proceedings
Attendees:
- Andrew Hain
- Adam Hoyle
- Tobias Knerr
- Emerson Rocha
- Ramya Ragupathy
Apologies: Salim Baidoun
Membership updates
The attending members decide unanimously to remove Rob, Ebrahim, and Darkshredder due to inactivity. The control of the membership list has shown that Andrew Hain, although accepted de-facto member, is apparently not member of the Engineering Working Group on fromal grounds. The attending members decide to accept Andrew Hain as member to fix that.
Roland volunteers to change the ccc-EWG pad accounts and let Dorothea change the mailing list membership. Adam volunteers to update the membership list.
Communication methods
Four members of the working group have answered the poll so far. Adam will resent the poll link to ensure input from more members. The final result shall be reviewed next time.
Actual business
Sovereign tech fund
The proposal has been reviewed by members of the Engineering Working Group and by website and cgimap maintainers and will be passed to the OSMF Board tomorrow, so, if there are no objections, it can be submitted to the fund by the end of the month.
Vector Tiles
Roland volunteers to ask Guilaume for the status of the Vector Tile work and find out if EWG can help move this forward.
Data Model Work
Roland apologizes for not collecting the opposition.
Microgrants
Adam commits to send to Emerson the existing microgrant templates. Emerson commits to assess these wikimedia templates for microgrants for the purpose of a new round.
Additional project ideas
Emerson commits to report back on extracting code from MediaWikis.
Andrew to do an analysis on Overture Maps data and see if there are any areas we could be addressing.
