Brazil Singh is an advocate for open mapping, community engagement, and humanitarian open-source technology. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he has contributed extensively to the OpenStreetMap (OSM) ecosystem as a mapper, trainer, and leader.

Brazil’s journey in open mapping began as a YouthMappers volunteer, where he quickly grew into leadership roles. Today, he serves as a Regional Ambassador at YouthMappers, an Open Mapping Guru with the Asia Pacific Hub, and a voting member of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT).
 
Brazil has trained students, led community projects, and contributed to humanitarian initiatives, including flood mapping, disaster preparedness, and safe city projects. His work reflects a deep commitment to using open data for sustainable development, education, and humanitarian response.
 
Beyond mapping, Brazil is also a Web developer and storyteller, passionate about creating digital tools, interactive platforms, and educational resources that make technology more accessible.
