Budget
Mikel keeps track of spending. Currently everything is on track.
Vector tiles
Paul keeps Shortbread maintained amid the steering group being inactive. Enabling interactivity is ongoing work. It is not yet deployed on OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) infrastructure.
STF Projects
Ruben (the new and additional contractor of the OSMF) is in discussion with the Operations Working Group (OWG) and Grant about GPS tracks. Pablo is working on improving notifications on the website.
Bing Imagery
Internal discussions about the impact of requests of undisclosed third parties with regard to specific aerials in specific locations.
Any other business
OGC standards dicussions: GERS
As a result of the comments mentioned two weeks ago, both Foursquare has seconded the idea, and the Overture Foundation has defended the approach.
A side note of unexpected proliferation of standars is the adoption of the OpenStreetMap opening hours syntax.
GeoParquet
The idea of providing OpenStreetMap data in GeoParquet format has been discussed.
The EWG (and the OSMF) does not have the bandwith to maintain it on OSMF infrastructure currently. Jake points out that tabular, Simple Features means opionated conversion (Jake maintains Layercake).
