Actual business
Presentation French Cadastre
The team of the French Cadastre who apply for the name OpenCollabMap are giving a presentation of the project.
The project is inspired by OpenStreetMap in particular because the OpenStreetMap data model is capable to deal with disambiguities and internal contradictions. Otherwise it neither targets an open community nor involves existing OpenStreetMap data, and a fairly small part of the OpenStreetMap software stack.
This uses most of the meeting's time.
ID tagging schema project initiative
Mateusz Konieczny has sent a proposal to the Engineering Working Group (EWG) for paid work on the iD tagging schema. Mikel has discussed this proposal with Martin Raifer during the monthly check-in.
The scope is distinct from STF in not being part of the backend. It is also potentially ongoing. Unlike other EWG projects, it has been an initiative from outside the EWG. Mateusz does want to avoid conflict of interest problems and therefore asks the EWG to develop a neutral evaluation.
The next step is a pull request to the EWG bidding repository. Then in 7 days, Roland shall announce to the community forum that the EWG has received the proposal (either pointing to the pull rquest or, failing that, copying the content of the email).
Microgrants
Adam has added a timeline to the GitHub respository for the Microgrants. He also has responded to inquiry by grantee about payment status.
