Actual business

Vector Tiles

No new developments, discussion on forum.

The Operations Working Group is considering whether to provide third-party access to stylesheet. Further paid style work dependent on donations coming in.

Microgrants

The jurors have been meeting and scoring some of the idea. Some are still pending scoring. There will be a meeting before the end of August with all the reviewers to make sure everything is properly updated and moving forward.

Floss Fund

Hector has volunteered to move this forward.

Discussion regarding funding.json. Hector is figuring out which repository to post to, how to describe project. The Foundation will apply as soon as JSON file is posted (to explain existing fundraising mechanisms). The funds can be used for anything. There is some ambiguity because OpenStreetMap is more than a single software project. Héctor to update link in JSON and ask FLOSS Fund whether this is good enough.

OpenStreetMap Core Software Engineer

The position has been advertised on the blog and in the forum. The hiring plan has been made accessible to the members of the Engineering Working Group.

Next Projects to Commission / Projects Pipeline

Minh is close to sharing the roadmap that is being worked on. Best to pause this discussion until that's available.
