<b>Launched - Membership Fee Waiver Program:</b> The MWG has launched a membership fee waiver program. It is based on the [http://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Board_Meeting_Minutes_2014-10-14 board resolution from Oct. 14th 2014] and the subsequent vote at the [http://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Annual_General_Meetings/14 2014 Annual General Meeting]. People are able to apply through the fee waiver program for an associate membership if paying the fee would constitutes an unreasonable burden to the member 1) because of lack of a suitable money transfer facility or 2) due to financial hardship. * The fee waiver program is for "an active contributor" (as defined [https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licence/Contributor_Terms here]): "a natural person (whether using a single or multiple accounts) who has edited the Project in any three calendar months from the last 12 months (i.e. there is a demonstrated interest over time)".
* OSMF membership badge on openstreetmap.org pull request.
