Communications Working Group (CWG) — Meeting Minutes

1. Attendance

As the meeting consisted of three Board members and one CWG member and no further people joined the meeting it was decided that it was pointless to continue with the formal agenda and we just held an informal discussion about reviving the CWG.

2. Work programme

We discussed starting a campaign to attract new volunteers to work in the CWG. A recruitment campaign would require a work programme to involve people. It is important to demonstrate that the group is running and has projects.

Suggested projects:

• A social media post.
• The sponsorship campaign.
• A campaign to attract new members.

Board members were asked to post information about that in the chat group. Mila would start work on a campaign for new communications volunteers on Monday but Mila does not have access for social media or for the blog. We would ask Dorothea and Brazil who do have access to make the posts. Craig will prepare a short piece about the work of the CWG for the volunteers campaign.

The Proton fundraising blog piece written by Dani was to be the first work for the CWG. It will be mailed to the CWG before posting. Also will mailed to the Translators group once final.

3. Next meeting

The next meeting was scheduled for 30 July 2026.
