Local Chapters and Communities Congress
- Thank you to everyone who facilitated!
- Documentation or blog post: Maggie started a draft in HackMD
- Create a thank you email to participants:
- Link to the notes from the meeting
- Link to the OSM-community-building telegram group and #osmcommunity:matrix.org.
- Share info about joining the LCCWG
- State the potential to have a fall congress based on their interest
- Should we have a congress at SotM 2026?
- CfP deadline is on Apr 27
- Discuss on Telegram
- Should we have a fall Congress?
- Laura suggested to make this a follow-up on the March Congress
- Maggie suggested that we decide based on interest from the participants
Local Chapter applications
- Columbia
- AC3 application was approved by the Board in their March meeting and also announced during the Congress
- Should we create a blog post?
- Should we ask CWG? They are currently a bit inactive
- Eugene volunteered to start a blog draft and will also ask Andrés for a message
- Catalan
- Michael checked the docs and everything checks out
- Applicant reached out to the Italian, French, and Spanish communities
- French Board discussed it and were ok with it
- OSMF membership consultation

- Middle East: Eugene replied to Said's email on 2 Apr
- No other updates
Microgrants
- Previously: budget approved for 5000 euro
- Eugene to lead with Geoffrey and Laura helping out
- Eugene will ask Adam of EWG regarding their technical microgrants
- Maggie suggested to invite outside folks for a potential subcommittee? Members agreed it was okay to have other folks join the effort
- Eugene to set up admin meeting later in April
