Local Chapters and Communities Congress

  • Laura sent an email to CWG and Board
  • Final date set on March 28 and doing two hours instead of three
  • Finalising the program:
    • 13:00 – Welcome / what is the LCCWG and what are we working on (updates) – c/o Eugene
    • 13:10 – Around the room: have folks introduce themselves and tell what's cooking in their country – c/o Eugene et al
    • 13:45 – OSMF Board update – c/o Laura and/or Héctor
    • 13:55 – Break
    • 14:05 – Topic 1: Feedback/ Birds of a feather style - c/o Laura
      • "Grievance" session, open conversation about challenges you face in using OSM or participating in the community
      • We can probably use Menti (50 users on the free tier)
    • 14:30 – Topic 2: See what folks want to talk about? Maybe a discussion about how many of us address challenges in OSM
    • 14:55 – Closing and how to Join the LCCWG - c/o Eugene
    • 15:00 – Done

Colombia Local Chapter application

  • Community was asked about the membership fee; Andrés replied: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/ac3-aplicacion-a-capitulo-local-de-la-osmf/138115/3
    • Geoffrey asked if LCCWG can set guidelines on membership fee limits. Eugene said we can't set guidelines because of local circumstances. Maggie says that the community feedback phase can address this.
  • No objections to application from LCCWG
  • TODO: Eugene to send recommendation to the Board hopefully to be approved in their March monthly meeting

Others

  • No communication back from Indonesia; their ED is on maternity leave
  • ES: New Board election; bank account: went to bank last month; denied because of Board renewal; will go back to bank again
  • ET: Board received a follow-up email from applicant
  • Middle East: Said sent a follow-up email to the Board

Migrogrants

  • Budget approved
